In typical fashion my Saturday plans were centered around food. However, I think I took my adventures to new heights with dining in 3 boroughs this Saturday -Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens! There was a lot in 12 hours…I hope you can keep up!
Stop 1: Morning taco stop at El Luchador on the way to the Ikea Ferry! We got distracted by the sign below and quickly questioned if we were just a block from the iconic Wall Street or on the Baja Coast. We ordered a few tacos off the board and took a seat inside the outfitted retro van (complete with an intercom system to announce your order).
The tacos were quickly served in a cute setting. The fish was juicy but a little bland. Nothing overly exciting but fine. The short rib was more flavorful and tender.
I’d definitely go back to try a couple more tacos and the roast corn, which looked awesome, but can’t say any of the items we tried are can’t miss items. If you are on the South Street Seaport (or headed to Ikea in Red Hook), wander over to El Luchador and check it out.
