Tri-Borough Eating on a Saturday – Part 2

Stop 2: Baked in Brooklyn. Some of my favorite baking books (all 3 of them) that I own come from this tiny spot in quiet (or what used to be quiet) Red Hook. Grab a coffee and a sweet treat and settle into this cute spot complete with spacious booths for doing work and treating yourself.

The highlight of the whoopie pie was the peanut butter butter cream, but some of my favorites from Baked are the blondies, brownies and other bar form treats they make. The cakes in their cookbooks are amazing, but my experience has been that the cupcakes in the stores are not quite as good. For you sugar lovers or adventurers, this spot is definitely worth the trip over on the Ikea Ferry on a nice day – There is always a new delight to discover.
